Next Steps

Every time we communicate with another person, we vote for the kind of society we want to live in. Here are the next steps you can take.

Know what matters to you. It’s one way to find the candidates who will work on issues that are important to you, whether it’s a single local issue or something as big as climate change. 
Listen to more than one opinion. Find reliable sources – newspapers, websites, blogs, radio or TV. Talk to people.  
Check those facts. If something strikes you as unlikely or just wrong, maybe it is. There are resources to help you discover what’s true.
Be cautious on social. If something makes you uncomfortable or angry, ask yourself what’s driving that message. 
Stay informed. The election is over on October 21, but as voters and as citizens we must keep politicians accountable throughout their term in office.
